A Place to Begin Again
Founded by Jeff Galena and operating for over 40 years and counting, Last Chance is an Alcoholics Anonymous fellowship serving Vancouver, Washington, with meetings 7 days a week. We are open, child-friendly, and rooted in faith and fellowship — a brotherhood where honesty is honored and recovery is forged one day at a time.

What to Expect
- You'll be greeted warmly — no pressure, no judgment. Come as you are.
- Meetings begin with a moment of silence and the Serenity Prayer.
- Members share their experience, strength, and hope; you may listen or pass.
- Open meetings welcome anyone — alcoholics, family, friends, and the simply curious.
- There is no cost. AA is self-supporting through our own contributions.

Kinds of Meetings We Hold
Child-Friendly
Child-friendly meetings allow each member to bring up to one child, with the expectation that discussion will not feature experiences or language inappropriate for the child. Formal childcare may not be available, but the member can watch over their child while participating in the discussion.
Open
Open AA meetings are not restricted to members only. Anyone is welcome to attend and learn more about how the program works and what the 12-step model of recovery includes — individuals seeking help for alcohol addiction as well as nonalcoholics who want to support a friend or loved one in recovery.
Step Meeting
Step meetings are one way for AA centers to monitor individual progress. Members meet in groups, read the Twelve Steps, discuss how the excerpts relate to their own experiences, and make goals for the next meeting.
Faith & Recovery
We believe recovery is a spiritual journey as much as a physical one. The Twelve Steps invite us to lean on a Power greater than ourselves, to take honest inventory, and to carry the message to others who still suffer. Whatever your faith tradition — or none yet — you are welcome here.
“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”
The Twelve Steps
Our program is built on the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous — a path of honesty, amends, and spiritual awakening walked one day at a time, together.
